Living a monastic life which balances prayer, work and study since 1878! In a general way our monastic life is like many others: work flows from our prayer as we undertake involvement in our retreat center, college-prep all-boys Academy, our gardens, our woodshop and our parishes. We are a blend of academics and manual laborers, brothers and priests, USA-born and foreign-born. 30 monastics united all together in one ministry for Christ. Many who visit are drawn to the beauty of our 1,800 acres and to our thriving communal life. People tell us we are the most unpretentious monks they have ever met! We love being monks!
